The Years from 1942 to 2015

My first 7 years begining with my birth in 1942 to 1949.

The decade 1960 to 1969. 

The decade 1970 to 1979.

My dad had moved in with us after my mother died on Christmas eve 1971. I had hopped she'd see my first son born but she didn't. My first son, Danny was born on May 21st 1972. Followed by Anthony on July 10th 1973. Chris was born on Janurary 30th 1975. It was a joyous time.

I was very sucessful at coaching football and won numerous championships. I was then the director of coaching clinics for the OAFA (Ontario Amature Foofball Assoc.) and travelled all over the provance setting up clinics.

The 80's decade 1980 to 1989. 

After Janice left for Arizona in 1987 to remarry her x-husband I had a chance to spend all my free time with my sons. It was the best 3 years of my life. They were stars at Glendale Hight Scool and very popular which made me very happy. From coaching baseball at Glendale to a cruice in the Caribbean, trip to Disney World and trips to Henry's farm in the Dominican Republic it was a wonderful perod. 

The 90's Decade to 1999.

The decade and 1/2 from 2000 to 2015 and the problems that grew. 

Born April 12th 1942.

We lived in West Hamilton until 1948 when my parents built a home on Upper Gage Av. in 1978. I went to Comley Public School. A two room school with grades 1 to 4 in one room and 5 to 8 in the second.

The decade 1950 to 1959.

I played baseball for a little league team and played football for my Hill Park High School team as a bench warmer.

I was a good student but nothing special. Did my homework and stayed our of trouble. Wasn't very popular ubtil I got my drivers licence. Then things got a a little better with more friends.

The 70's a decade filled with joyous events, sucess, ending up in a seperation and divorce before remarring in 1979. The home on Parklands Dr. was my pride and joy so it was the first big mistake of my life when I sold it so I could divorse Bettyann.

On a coaching clinic down in Arizona I met and fell in love with a American woman. I Married her in the spring of 1979 and it was a happy time for a few years.

I rented a moving van and we moved to Hamilton in 1989. Jaice was fine to begin with but ithe relationship had it's down side.

The 80's decade was filled with joy to start with but decending in to problems with trying to juggle mixed families. Janices son was jealous of my sons and being older was a bully when left alone with them.

In 1989 Henry ask me if I wanted to visit his Farm in the Dominican Republic. he said his son and two other 14 year olds were going down. I ask if Chris could come with me. He said of course.

This is a long sad tale from 2010 to 2015.

The Grundie Horror Story.

Here is a List of Grundie & His Inconsiderate Liberties I knew from first day I met him that he was going to be a problem. I begged Alberto not to sell the condos to him and sell them to Doug. Alberto did and now I’m stuck with the problems he causes and will cause. Grundie is a lying bully who will lie and cheat to get his way. I have to look forward to living here with this guy until I die.

Grundie = alexgrun Join Date Apr 2007 I was at Alberto's office today May 16; he told me that the 3 condo sales in 2007 are no longer owned by these people. He did tell me he has a mortgage on the building that will be paid off shortly. "I take that with a pinch of salt". Bill Lane does not own the building as it states in one of his web sites he created "Owner & Manager" he said. He owns 2 condo's # 1 & # 2. 

I know that 1 other condo is owned by someone and 1 condo is rented to a snowbird that has been there for over 3 years, so why can’t I buy that condo and the snowbird pay me rent? "Bill Lane won’t get to keep the rent money. Alberto said he owns 5 condos in the building out of 8 total condos. The bull **** continues, who can you trust?

1. First day, Grundie, while moving in (Thursday May 31st.) he comes over to the bar and asks for a Brahma beer. I tell him all I have is Presidente. He says I’m a 25% owner here so you better stock Brahma in the future.

2. He tells Alberto he’s not going to pay any condo fees. He is an owner not a renter. His reasoning for not having to pay for water and common area electricity. So now I have to pay for his water and common area electricity.

3. He has two little children so now I have to put up a fence around the pool. No money for that so I’ve drained the pool just to be safe.

4. Friday June 1st he goes up on the roof and hooks his cable in to my satellite. When I saw the splitter had been tampered and I had no reception I called Manni to fix the problem. Cost me 1,500 pesos. Manni spotted the new cable and connection. Took his off and reconnected Wayne’s. I would not have known because he used Wayne’s spot on the splitter but he also switched the LNB feeds and I lost all reception.

5. His reasoning was that it was condo property and he had every right to have use of it. I told him it is not condo property and it’s my property. Even if it was condo property what right did he have to disconnect someone else’s cable and connect his?

6. Then he ask if could hook up to my internet phone line. This is right after trying to steal a feed from our satellite. He has no shame and is a bully. Yells at his wife and kid constantly.

7. Now he asks why he couldn’t use my washing machine because it said on my web site it was for long term renters. I said they pay rent or condo fees and you do neither.

8. June 6th he comes home drunk and leaves the sliding door open with the lock unlocked. The lock gets stolen. He asks who would steal a lock. I said someone did. Now you have to buy a new one and have 10 keys cut. Costs me 1,100 pesos for a new lock and keys because he won’t pay for one. I put a spare on for that night. He has a motor scooter and a motorbike so we know what a thief would remove first. His wife left an hour after she came home because he was yelling at her over having lost the lock. I guess some how it was her fault. This is a common daily occurrence as he is always screaming at her or the kids. He has been here for only 5 days and the future looks bleak with him living here.

9. As expected this morning he refused to pay for the new lock. No problem because I want nothing more to do with him. I will pay approximately 600 pesos a month for his water and pump electricity to pump the water in to his units. In one week what’s next?

10. June 10th Wanda helped Ana Miriam (Albertos secretary) move her clothes from condo # 4 to # 5. Grundie did go to the airport today and arrive with family, a daughter and granddaughter. In the morning he asks me where is the TV from condo # 4. I said I didn't know, why are you asking me? I knew Derek had one. Grundie saw the dust where the TV had been sitting. He comes to my door this afternoon and accuses Wanda of stealing it because she was in the unit and Grundie’s wife went to the office and they said they did not take it. I'm furious so I have Wanda call Ana Miriam and tell her I'll lock her out and turn off the water and electricity if she does not tell me the truth. As it turns out Alberto removed the TV last night and Ana Miriam knew all about it. But they lied through their teeth.

11. I had a plastic plug in the wall above the washing machine with the washing machine plug fastened to it with a lock. No key then you can’t use the washer. Today I found the plastic plug was loosened so you can remove it from the wall and plug in to the receptacle. Grundie not as smart as he thinks he is because I have the common area electricity turned off so the washer won’t work even when plugged in. Installed new lock on washing machine door to day.

12. I keep asking what’s next. Well here it is. Ednorthe came yesterday afternoon and cut Grundie off his electricity. I know he has new contracts but in Ednorthe the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. So what does Grundie do? He hooks up an extension cord to the common area power and steals the electricity I pay for so he has electricity in his apartment. Did he ask, no!, he just stole it. I also found out this morning he took apart the light switch on the second floor and wired it so it could not be turned off. But I have the master switch turned off which controls all the outside lighting. So now there will be no outside lighting for the entire condo complex.

13. Wednesday I stopped to pick up some books from Paul at Pura’s bar. Grundie was there and ask Paul if he was a friend of mine. Paul said yes for a long time. Grundie said well he’s no friend of mine. Who needs friends like Grundie they are worse than enemies.

14. Thursday, this afternoon I leave the condos and see a bag of garbage left across the road. Looks like the bags (Jose Luis Supermarket) I saw outside his unit this morning with garbage in one and empty beer bottles in the other three. Can’t be sure BUT! I took photos on my cell phone on Friday morning. It was his garbage.

15. I’m at my whit’s end. Grundie wants to use (steal the common area power) to light the area outside his condo unit # 6. So I’m cutting all wiring and lighting outside all condo units and everyone will have to wire the lighting from their kitchen if they want a light outside their unit.

16. Grundie has taken the hint and run a wire from his kitchen to his light outside his door. Now he’ll pay for his balcony lighting on his condo light bill. Everyone will have to do the same in the future because of one bad apple.

17. Both Grundie and his wife leave the big door unlocked with the new lock open and it will be stolen again I’m sure. It just a matter of time.

18. His wife slammed the big gate so hard each time she closes it I had to get a welder here to fix the broken welds and while he was here I had him weld a chain on the gate lock so it can’t be stolen again even when they leave it unlocked.

19. He is the most selfish and inconsiderate person I’ve ever come across in my life. He came home last night at 3:15am and proceeded to slam doors and stomp around upstairs for over an hours doing god knows what.

20. Caught his wife leaving at 1:40am and left the lock open because she was only going out for an hour (I suspect to by drugs). She started looking for the lock when she came back and was embarrassed when I came out and handed it back to her. I’m a light sleeper so I checked the gate when she left.

21. He was brought home last night at 1:30am by the police. He was drunk and drove in to a road divider. An American on the scene talked the police out of putting him in jail. Too bad! Now he’s up there yelling at his wife and the kid is crying. I guess it’s somehow their fault.

22. Today he arrived with the SUV on the back of a tow truck. He had it dropped it in the condo compound. Got only knows how long it will sit here because he has no money for repairs.

23. Found out today he stiffed the guys who helped him with a bribe to the cops to keep him out of jail the night of his accident (that was 12 days ago). They came to collect and he told them that if they needed the 2,000 pesos so bad they were in worse shape than he was. Slammed the door and told them to get lost. What a looser. Even hid his motorcycle so I’d think he was not here. I can only hope now he gets drunk and kills himself on his motorcycle.

24. He had an accident, fell off of his motorcycle and couldn’t use his left arm. Went back to Canada and I was hoping he’d stay there because it might have been something serious. It wasn’t and he was back in 10 days.

25. Didn’t have any money to repair the SUV so he sold it to the guy who towed out of here and got an old Ford Escort for the difference. Now he lets his wife drive it and she can’t drive.

26. Today Grundie’s wife backed out of the parking area and tore the front bumper off the car when she hit the post next to the guard shack. What did she do next? Got out of the car looked at the damage (none to the gate post) done to the car. Got back in to the car and drove off leaving the damaged bumper on the road in front of the gate.

27. Today he has a renter for his condo # 4 and was complaining that I should have to pay the 500 pesos he had to pay a guy to cut down the weeds growing in front of the kitchen window.

28. Just before Christmas the electric company cut off his power because he owed over 20,000 pesos. He had to sell a bedroom set to get the bill partly paid. We'll see what happens this month when the bills arrive and he has to pay more off the total bill.

29. Sunday Jan 6th he (Grundie) pulled another stunt Sunday night. He came back about 7pm drunk and couldn't get the key in the sliding door lock. Took him several minutes and I went over to see who was at the gate. When I saw who it was I went back watching the football game with Wayne. When he finally got the door open he was calling me every swear word he could come up with in both English and Spanish because I wouldn't open the gate for him. He went up to his place and stood over looking the bar yelling and screaming for 10 minutes. When we ignored him and continued to watch the Redskins game he got cutters out and cut my TV receiver internet line. Then he was yelling “there that will teach you not to fuck with me”. SO! I called the cops and when they arrived he had shut both doors and turned all the lights in his place out. The two cops on the motorcycle left when he wouldn't open the door. Wayne, Lee, Chris (Chris is here for a week) and I went out to a couple bars in Sosua. The two cops came back with a supervisor. Wanda said the supervisor pounded on the door for 5 minutes and was so mad that a gringo ignored him he was ready to shoot the lock off the door. Wanda told them to come back any time for a coffee or something stronger. They'll drop in now from time to time so Grundie will have to hide his ass.

30. What’s next? Well I’m amassed at how childish this man is. Here it is Jan 16th and he has had to sell his car to pay bills. This afternoon Wayne and I were going to take out the garbage and go to the supermarket. The van wouldn’t start (bad connection with the starter solenoid) and Grundie stood on the balcony laughing at us.

31. Monday Feb 4th Grundie put a chain and lock on the guys’ scooter because he was 2 days late paying his rent for # 4. Then he proceeded to pound on his door and tells him he needed to be responsible and pay his rent on time. Grundie needed the money for something.

32. Tuesday Feb 5th some police were here with paper work to be signed by Grundie. Don’t know what it was about but his wife returned with the car later. I guess he didn’t sell it. Wanda heard her tell him he couldn’t drive it or he’d loose it again.

33. Thursday Feb 7th Peter had backed his SUV in to load up with the remaining things he was removing from condo # 3. When Peter left and Grundie returned with his motorcycle he parked it so if Peter returned he could not get his SUV in to load up. Peter wasn’t coming back so when Grundie figured that out he moved his bike back to where he normally parked it.

34. Monday Feb 25th Grundie moved his car up so close to the pool level that Marianne has to walk around his car to sit on her lounge chair. Why? Who knows because he has never blocked the pool before and maybe he has some friend coming and needs to have room to park another car?

35. Wednesday Mar 6th Grundie demanded I give him a key to the meter box and to the roof or he’d cut my locks off and put his on. I ask if he was going to cut my cable again and he said if I piss him off he will fuck me up again. He’s such a nice guy.

36. Wanted the key to meters so he could get his power for # 6 from # 4. Today the Edenorte came, found and remover the jumpers he had put from # 4 to his condo # 6. They will put their lock on the meter cabinet. Now I know why he wanted a key to the meter cabinet.

37. I was checking my kw usage this morning (April 4th) and it sure looks like Grundie has switched the wires from his breaker # 6 to Franks breaker # 7. Took pictures and will only advise Frank to turn off his breaker when he leaves for Canada. I will not tell Frank and get involved because it’s not my problem. Grundie is a thief.

38. Thursday April 4th Grundie came up the hill and it was a little muddy out side Wayne and Marianne window. He was drunk and fell off the bike in to the mud. Came in swearing a blue streak. Had to buy two new mirrors for the bike.

39. Sunday April the 7th he went out at 11pm. Came back drunk again about 1:30am and fell in the mud. Now he’s mad and when his wife came home at 3am they had a big fight. Broken bottles and punches before she left. He took the car and went out leaving the gate wide open. I had to go out and close it with the lock.

40. About April 17th Grundie had to sell hi car. Only has motorcycle which he hides behind the stairwell. I guess someone is looking to take it for back payments.

41. Haven’t left the condos for a couple weeks since Wayne has left and Grundie has me dieing of lung cancer and heart failure. He’ll be in a big fix if it happens.

42. I have been a shut in for 4 or 5 weeks now so I guess he was going to fuck up my internet and TV watching. On Saturday May 5 I caught him trying to hook a short 2” x 4” over my telephone line. I cut the rope he was using and yelled up at him “are you crazy”. He said oh sorry. What a jerk can it get any worse? I’m sick and can’t go on.
